Sonic the Hedgehog: The original Sonic game released in 1992! I have the original case and manual for this one. The most classic of all Sonic games.
Sonic the Hedgehog 2: The sequel to Sonic the Hedgehog, released in 1992. I have the original case and manual for this one. This game introduced Tails the Fox and has some iconic levels and music.
Sonic Spinball: A spinoff released in 1993! I have the original case for this one. Sonic controls like a ball in a pinball table.
Sonic the Hedgehog 3: The third sequel released in 1994. I have the original case and manual for this. There is an add on for the game called "and Knuckles" which the original cartridge is supposed to connect on top of, but I do not have that. This game introduced Knuckles the Echidna!
Knuckles Chaotix: A spinoff for the 32x Genesis Add on that released in 1995. This is one of my most favorite Sonic games of all time. It features Knuckles the echidna and his new team "The Chaotix", consisting of Knuckles, Mighty (previously from the arcade game "Segasonic"), and the 3 new characters Vector the Crocodile, Espio the Chameleon and Charmy Bee. Also makes use of a "tethering" mechanic where the characters are connected together and influence each other's movements.
Sonic Heroes: A mainline game released in 2003. I have the case and manual for this. This is one of my most favorite Sonic games of all time. Play through the story with four different teams of three (Team Sonic, Team Dark, Team Rose or Team Chaotix) where each person in the team has different abilities to allow you to traverse the levels.
Sonic Mega Collection Plus: A collection of previous Sonic games released in 2004. I have the case and manual for this. Includes the games: Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Sonic the Hedgehog 3, Sonic and Knuckles, Sonic 3d Blast, Sonic Spinball, Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine, Sonic the Hedgehog (Game Gear Version), Sonic Drift, Sonic Blast, Sonic Labyrinth, Sonic Chaos, Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine (Game Gear Version), and the unlockable games: Blue Sphere, Knuckles in Sonic 2, Sonic 3 and Knuckles, Flicky, Ristar, The Ooze, and Comix Zone.
Shadow the Hedgehog: A Shadow spinoff released in 2005. I have the case and manual for this. People hate on this game for being overly edgy, but I adore it. The story is impacted based on whether you choose to pursue the good, neutral or evil paths of a level, leading to over 300 storylines. Also features lots of guns, rock music and light swearing, meaning it's super cool.
Sonic Riders: A racing spinoff game released in 2006. I have the case for this. Introduced the Babylon Rogues (Jet, Wave and Storm), a team of thieving birds. Everyone rides on extreme gear, these specially made hoverboards. This game is rather hard but good.
Sonic Unleashed (PS2 version): A main series game released in 2008. This was actually for the PS3, but then had (shittier and much worse) versions released on the PS2 and the Wii. I have the case and manual for this. This was one of my childhood games.
Sonic the Hedgehog (2006): Also known as Sonic 06. I have the case and manual for this. It is infamous for being possibly the worst Sonic game of all time. However this was one of my childhood games and I have a lot of nostalgia for it, plus I find it has a lot of buggy charm, so I cannot get myself to dislike it. Introduced Silver the Hedgehog.
Sonic Unleashed: A main series game released in 2008. I have the case and manual for this. This was one of my childhood games. During the day you play through fast paced normal Sonic levels, but at night Sonic becomes a werehog, leading to slower paced but more combative levels.
Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection: A collection of previously released genesis games released in 2009. I have the case and manual for this. Features the ganmes: Alex Kidd in the Enchanted Castle, Alien Storm, Altered Beast, Beyond Oasis, Bonzana Bros., Columns, Comix Zone, Decap Attack starring Chuck D. Head, Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine, Dynamite Headdy, Ecco the Dolphin, Ecco: The Tides of Time, E-Swat, Fatal Labyrinth, Flicky, Gain Ground, Golden Axe, Golden Axe 2, Golden Axe 3, Kid Chameleon, Phantasy Star 2, Phantasy Star 3: Generations of Doom, Phantasy Star 4: The End of the Millennium, Ristar, Shining Force, Shining Force 2, Shining in the Darkness, Shinobi 3: Return of the Ninja Master, Sonic 3, Sonic 3d Blast, Sonic and Knuckles, Sonic Spinball, Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Streets of Rage, Streets of Rage 2, Streets of Rage 3, Super Thunder Blade, Vectorman, Vectorman 2, Golden Axe Warrior, Phantasy Star, Alien Syndrome, Altered Beast, Congo Bongo, Fantasy Zone, Shinobi, Space Harrier and Zaxxon. This whole game I got for a great deal, stumbled upon it for 5$ at an Arc Thrift Store, and then bought it to realize that 3 whole games were shoved into the case: Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection, Kingdom Hearts 2 and Bully for the ps2, how odd what a surprise!
Sonic All Stars Racing Transformed: A racing game released in 2012. I have the case for this. This not only features Sonic characters, but other Sega characters as well. The gimmick is that the cars transform into boats in the water and planes in the air, allowing for more fun means of travel.
Digital Games:
Sonic the Fighters: A Japanese exclusive arcade game that originally released in 1996, only to later be ported to the Ps3 as a digital game. A classic arcade fighting game with a ton of fun cartoony slapstick squash and stretch phsyics.
Sonic Adventure: The first main series 3d Sonic game, initially released in 1999 but was ported to the Ps3 as a digital game. I am not sure if this one is the director's cut or not? A classic to be sure.
Sonic Colors Ultimate: Released in 2021. This is a remake of the older game, "Sonic Colors". I have the case and leaflets inside.
Sonic Frontiers: A mainseries Sonic game released in 2022. I have the case, leaflets inside, and the special steelbook that was included in the preorder bonus. This game was a free roam adventure and is well liked by fans for it's strong new direction.
Sonic Origins Plus: A collection of older Sonic games that released in 2023. I have the box, leaflet and the artbook that came with it. This included many of the original Sonic games but also allowed you to play Amy as a main character for the first time. This collection includes the games: Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Sonic 3 and Knuckles, Sonic CD, Blue Sphere, Sonic the Hedgehog (Game Gear), Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (Game Gear), Sonic Chaos, Doctor Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine (Game Gear), Sonic Drift, Sonic Drift 2, Sonic Spinball (Game Gear), Sonic Triple Trouble, Tails Sky Patrol, Tails Adventure, Sonic Labyrinth and Sonic Blast.
Sonic Superstars: A mainseries Sonic game released in 2023. I have the case and leaflet that came with the game. I am forever upset because I preordered it, but then Gamestop fucked up their preorders so I failed to get the acrylic stand preorder bonus that I should have gotten with it :( This game is a classic styled game, where you can play Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy or the new character Trip if you are able to unlock her.
Sonic X Shadow Generations: A remake that released in 2024. I have the case, leaflet, and cool "Gerald's Journal" that was included as a bonus with it. This game is a remake of the previous game "Sonic Generations", except there is a new bonus game added that follows Shadow's perspective over the course of his own Generations game.
Sonic Rush: A mainseries Sonic Game that released in 2005. This game is famous for having a banging soundtrack written by Hideki Naganuma and introducing Blaze the Cat. It is rather hard but also very good.
Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games: The first entry in the "Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games" crossover series released in 2008. This is specifically the DS version, it was available on both wii and ds. This series crosses over Mario and Sonic and lets you play in a bunch of Olympic themed Sports minigames.
Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood: is a spinoff released in 2008. It is an odd entry compared to most other Sonic games, as it is based on the archie comic series (which can be bizarre in it's own right) and was a RPG created by bioware. There are no other Sonic games that are in this style, making it stand out. People make fun of it's music and art, but I don't think it's terrible, just... weird, lol.
Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Winter Games: The second entry in the "Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games" crossover series, released in 2009. This is specifically the ds version, there is both a wii and ds version. This specifically has many winter/snow themed minigames and had the crossover's first story mode.
Sonic and the Secret Rings: The first entry into the "Sonic Storybook Series", releasing in 2007. I have the case for this. It was one of my childhood games. Each of the games in this series puts Sonic into the universe of a real life "story" (mythos, folklore, ect.). This game puts Sonic characters into the Arabian Nights stories. Despite clunky gameplay (this was the series' first entry on the wii and the motion controls can be difficult to handle) I think it is an underrated gem and it makes up for it's shortcomings with it's story.
Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games: The first entry in the "Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games" crossover series released in 2008. I have the case and manual for this. This is specifically the wii version, it was available on both wii and ds. This series crosses over Mario and Sonic and lets you play in a bunch of Olympic themed Sports minigames.
Sonic and the Black Knight: The second entry into the "Sonic Storybook Series", releasing in 2009. I have the case for this. It was one of my childhood games, and remains one of my favorite Sonic games of all time. This game puts Sonic into the setting of the Knights of the Roundtable story, and he must slay the evil king Arthur in a traditional medieval setting. I would love to start a dnd campaign based on this, lol.
Sonic Mania: is a mainseries game that came out in 2017. I have the case for this. It is beloved by fans and noteable for it's fun stages, music and playable characters, with Sonic Tails and Knuckles being available but the more obscure Mighty and Ray finally returning to the series. Definately a great game.
Team Sonic Racing: is a racing game that came out in 2019. I have the case for this. It puts an emphasis on racing in teams of three, with you getting bonuses from helping your teammates out. This is admittedly a game I have played hundreds and hundreds of hours of, it has a lackluster roster that I am excited for crossworlds to fix and a broken online mode, but otherwise incredibly fun gameplay and nice race tracks.
Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020: The final entry in the Mario and Sonic at the olympic games series, releasing in 2020. I have the case for this. The game's story has a gimmick where the characters travel back in time and as such there's "retro" style minigames.
Digital Games:
Sonic Forces: A mainseries Sonic game that released in 2017. It is famous for being hated amongst fans, but it isn't that bad in my opinion. It tries to take on a dramatic tone with a war story, and you get to create your own oc player to play as and become friends with Sonic and the crew, which is a fun concept.
Team Sonic Racing: ...Yes again. I own this on both switch and on PC. I meant it when I said I play an unhealthy number of hours of this game.
The Murder of Sonic the Hedgehog: A side game released in 2023 for April Fools day. This is a free game, and an incredibly enjoyable experience that feels like it was tailor made for me lol. The game is a point and click murder mystery visual novel, in a similar style to Layton Brother's Mystery Room or the Ace Attorney Series. The game takes place during Amy's birthday party train murder mystery game.
